Summary of Services

Assessments
The therapist from our network of providers completes a thorough assessment involving both psychological and social aspects. This includes gathering medical, education, and mental health information on the entire family to determine if there is a medical need for a family to receive behavioral health services. Based on the assessment, the therapist will make a referral for appropriate on-going behavioral health services.

Family Therapy
Family therapy is an outpatient therapy that occurs in an office setting. Minimally one parental caretaker and the child who is the identified client must be present. The family unit can be the child's biological, adoptive, or resource family and should be working on maintaining the family unit or reunifying the family.

Home Based Family Therapy
Home Based Family Therapy is an outpatient therapy that occurs in a community-type setting. Services typically occur in the family home rather than the office and the therapist travels to the family home. Minimally one parental caretaker and the child who is the identified client must be present. The family unit can be the child's biological, adoptive, or resource family and should be working on maintaining the family unit or reunifying the family.

Group Therapy
Group therapy is an outpatient therapy that addresses similar issues in a group setting. To provide group therapy a minimum of two clients must participate in this service. Depending on the type of group therapy optimal group size is 4 to 12 clients per group. Group therapy may also be coupled with family or individual therapy.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is an outpatient therapy where a client is one-on-one with the therapist. Services are provided to the client in a confidential setting. The service can be provided in the office or the home.

Case Management
Case Management services work with the family in a strengths based approach to helping families identify natural and community resources to prevent children from out-of-home placement. Case Management services require in-home consultation with the family, networking and outsourcing referrals to community providers, and collaboration with the family and community. Community resources can include grants that provide case management services for families.

Home Studies (for Adoption)
Home studies assess families interested in adopting a child in determining their ability to provide a healthy, nurturing, safe, and caring environment long term for a child.
